So today we started our blog. I, Jill, was inspired to do this when I saw the movie Julia and Julia then Janna and Jon (our daughter and son in law) started one so I was even more inspired. I'll write some of the things I've learned over time, recipes, and whatever else. I'm new at this so it'll probably take a while to learn about this whole thing.
One thing I really want to write is weekly recipes. I have about eight weeks worth that can be rotated for two months. It really helps when you don't have to think of what to cook. It saves a bunch of money when you shop for the week and don't have to keep going back to the store. I've tried shopping for longer, but I would have to go back for veges, milk, etc. I love using a slow cooker, but I don't have a ton of recipes. Well, here is week one:
Monday-----Fajata's and salad
Tuesday-----Taco Soup with French bread sandwiches
Wednesday-Cheese enchiladas, Refried beans (can), and Rice
Thursday---Chicken Tetrazzini, broccoli, salad
Friday------Red beans and sausage with rice, cornbread (jiffy) and coleslaw
(if you cook a large meal on Friday, you can have company over! It can also be cooked in the slow cooker on a day that you'll be busy.)
Saturday----Grilled Chicken breast, grilled vegetables and macaroni and cheese
Sunday------Brisket, rice dressing (simoneaud's has the best mix), green bean, french bread
(On Sunday's I like to cook a large meal that doesn't require much preparation before church.
The brisket cooks all night in the oven on 200, I make the dressing mix on Sat. and
just cook the rice and green beans on Sunday morning.)

It's not the healthiest meals, but you can add salads, veges, or fruit to any meal.
If you want any recipes, just write for them.
Another thing that's helped me (you could never tell at this moment) is flylady.net.
It's a free website that helps you declutter, clean, schedule your life, and lots of other things.

Jesus has been sooooo good to my family and myself. I will be forever grateful for His love.
This week, instead of waking up in the middle of the night and thinking of hundreds of things for an hour or so, I started thanking Him for everything that comes to mind. He is deserves allllllll thanks.
